Pavel Spunar has died

Professor Spunar was not only an internationally renowned expert in the field of medieval Latin philology, but he was also an active supporter of the programme in Medieval Latin language and literature in Brno. We are grateful to him for undertaking the ungrateful task of writing dissertation reviews and for taking part in the examination committees. It goes without saying that every medievalist working in the field of Hussite studies feels obliged for his magisterial Repertorium - our MIHOO database is the best example as it builds on his (and Bartoš's) list of Hus's literary oeuvre.
