Katrin Janz-Wenig is member of staff at the Austrian Academy of sciences, Paleography & Codicology, Institute for medieval research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna. Currently she is cataloguing the medieval manuscripts at the monastery of the regular canons at Klosterneuburg. She received her PhD in Medieval German literature at the University of Würzburg. There she taught middle high German grammar and literature. Her research interests are the interrelation between Latin and German, transmission and dissemination of sermon collections and liturgical books, Codicology and library history.
