Fida Pfister stipendium
The Society of the Hus Museum in Prague, together with the Centre for Medieval Studies and the University of Konstanz, announces a fellowship for doctoral students from the Czech Republic specializing in medieval studies.
If you’d like to follow in the footsteps of Master Jan Hus and experience firsthand the hospitality of the picturesque town of Constance, the Fida Pfister Scholarship is just the opportunity for you.
For two successful applicants, the scholarship provides:
- coverage of travel expenses (both ways!);
- free accommodation in the Hus House (not for eight months as in Hus's own case, but “only” for ten days — the exact dates will be arranged according to the operational possibilities of the Hus House);
- a €250 stipend for additional expenses;
- access to the excellently equipped local library (including a copy/scan card);
- and for those interested, a bicycle is also available.
Applicants are asked to submit a brief description of their research project (up to one standard page), together with a CV, to novotny@flu.cas.cz (this address may also be used for any inquiries).
